Job Description
| am seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Research Assistant to join my laboratory (Ali's Lab]. The successful candidate will support research projects in the Department of Food Science, College of Agriculture and Veterinary Medicine, United Arab Emirates University. The research project focuses on the development of a novel type of infant formulas supplemented with miRNAS isolated from different milk species. The formula will be also supplemented with omega-3 and omega-6 structured lipids, and physicochemical and nutritional characteristics will be evaluated.Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct literature reviews and summarize findings; collect, analyze, and interpret data;
- Assist in the design and implementation of research studies
- Prepare reports, presentations, and manuscripts for publication
- Maintain accurate records of research activities
- Collaborate with team members and contribute to project meetings
Skills
Experience in planning and conducting dairy products and infant formulas processing and analysis is advantageous. The candidate should be familiar with the basics of dairy science and technology, lipid extraction and identification by using GC, GC-MS, and LC-MS techniques, quality characteristics of dairy products, and infant formulas preparation. Furthermore, the candidate is expected to have experience in research methodologies and data analysis, proficiency in [specific software/tools, e.g., SPSS, R, Python], strong written and verbal communication skills, excellent organizational and time-management skills, and the ability to work independently and as part of a team.How to Apply
