Production Manager

Responsibilities:

• Plan, organize and coordinate daily production activities to meet production targets and customer demands.
• Monitor production processes to ensure efficiency, quality, and compliance with food safety regulations.
• Develop and implement production schedules, ensuring optimal utilization of resources, including raw materials, equipment, and labor.
• Manage and coach a team of production supervisors and frontline workers, providing guidance and performance feedback.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams such as Quality Assurance, Maintenance, and Supply Chain to ensure seamless operations.
• Continuously identify opportunities for process improvement, cost reduction, and product quality enhancement.
• Monitor and control production costs, analyzing variances and implementing corrective actions.
• Maintain accurate production records and reports for management review.
• Ensure a safe working environment by enforcing and promoting health and safety guidelines.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's or Master’s degree in Food Science or a related field. A relevant combination of education and experience will be considered.
• Proven experience as a Production Manager in a food production environment, with in-depth knowledge of food processing, packaging, and quality assurance.
• Strong understanding of food safety regulations and industry best practices.
• Excellent leadership and team management skills, with the ability to motivate and inspire a diverse production workforce.
• Demonstrated problem-solving and analytical abilities, with a focus on continuous improvement.
• Effective communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate with cross-functional teams and resolve any production-related issues.
• Proficient in using production management software and systems.
